Irish Music and Dance in the US: The Irish didn’t loose their Irish culture though from the Irish immigrants. Irish still fixed Irish foods in their houses, like cabbage and potato soups. When the Irish stepped off the boat and immigrated from the eastern seaboard to KY and throughout the south, they carried their influence of Irish music into the fiddles of country music. Irish Castles: If you visit the Irish in Ireland the trip will go fast, so plan your trip tight because you’ll want to see all of the Irish you can. On your Ireland map make sure to visit the Irish castles that were built a couple of thousand of years ago, and stop by too and visit the great Scot Irish houses built during the Georgian Period, of the Great Irish Famine. It’s easy to see how when you visit their beautiful structures and garden in the south of Ireland, that the people that were starving were angry and hurt over their plight. Irish Christmas Celebration: Under the Ireland flag Christmas in Ireland is a treat, so if you’re there during the holidays you’ll get a pleasant surprise. In the windows of Irish homes you might see three candles placed in the windows. That’s symbolic of the trinity for catholic homes, and a big meal is served of puddings, meats and breads. Gift giving is a standard part of the Irish tradition of Christmas in Ireland, and everyone has a grand time. This should be enough to remind you why you want to go there.
