The traditional holiday celebrated in Europe on December 24th and 25th is seen as secular, where in Mexico it’s a religious holiday only. Children will get their presents under a tree, or in a shoe set on a window seal on that special day. Dancing: The Mexicans love to dance for celebrations of all kinds with Mexican music. The traditional dance of the Mexican Hat Dance didn’t identify Mexico to outsiders until the early part of the 20th century. This dance was a celebration that was promoted by the government for the Mexican Revolution for independence in the Mexican culture. It’s a wonderful dance to do if you’re nimble on your feet, and have an ear for music of any kind. It’s a dance that’s fast paced, so wear good shoes too.
